Description
The post holder needs to be self-driven, highly organised and have excellent communication skills.

Through their knowledge of the clinical pathway requirements, they will enhance the patients experience by ensuring that their pathway is proactively planned and tracked to ensure that patients who are newly diagnosed, on treatment or follow up are supported in a timely and efficient way.

The role will involve liaising with patients, their relatives and clinical and administrative teams within the Trust to coordinate telephone consultations, outpatient appointments, investigations, treatments and multi-disciplinary team discussions.


The post holder will also provide information for the Trusts cancer PTL regarding patient pathways to support the achievement of waiting time standards and ensure effective shared learning from any pathway breaches.


A key part of the role will be to support the effective communication between patients and the Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT).

The post holder will be based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, but cross site travel is expected at times.
