My client is looking for a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to join their growing team based in their Tamworth, Staffordshire or Solihull, West Midlands offices.

Job purpose:


  • To provide professional lead, legal training and supervision to the property department
  • To take responsibility for the professional lead of the property departments (sale and purchase, remortgage, equity release and post completion) and fee earners and the delivery of the professional service provided by the departments to external and internalclients.
  • To be responsible for case supervision of team leaders and property fee earners in the performance of their case work by monthly file reviews (but also including making a contribution to monthly review meetings where appropriate) and by day to day supervision,discussion and problem resolution.

To be responsible for devising and implementing a structured and ongoing property group training programme to ensure that all fee earners and support staff have best practice standard knowledge of relevant property law and practice.


  • To create and maintain a source of best practice template letters and documents.
  • To provide appropriate input to ensure the firm retains Lexcel and CQS accreditation.
  • To provide input to Appraisals where appropriate.

About You
We are looking to engage with experienced Conveyancing Solicitors, Legal Executives and Conveyancers who demonstrate:

  • 8+ years of Conveyancing experience
  • Must have experience in both Residential and Commercial Property
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and target driven, but rewarding environment
  • Experience of running your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters
  • Properly recruit, select, train, actively develop, motivate and manage group members to empower them to deliver their accountabilities and achieve their full potential.
  • Implement and uphold all the firm's policies and procedures.
  • Display the knowledge skills and behaviours required by the firm and set out in the Lexcel leadership & management culture statement and key behaviours document.
