Description
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Parts team in Muir of Ord.


The role of Parts Sales Advisor will involve you selling to construction and agricultural businesses; whether they be existing, lapsed or new customers, where you will be required to identify and satisfy customer equipment requirements for parts across the full range of JCB machines for repair, service or maintenance.

Scot JCB has been supplying and servicing JCB machinery throughout Scotland and the North of England for over 60 years.

We sold our first machine in 1956 and have grown into a highly specialised machinery distribution company operating through a network of 17 depots from Fraserburgh in the North East of Scotland to Carnforth in Lancashire.

Scot JCB is the largest JCB distributor in the UK and we pride ourselves on providing our customers with world class service.


This role involves:


  • Taking enquiries from customers across phone and counter
  • Looking up and identifying parts
  • Promote and sell parts to meet customer needs
  • Be involved in proactive telemarketing campaigns
  • Supply service department with parts as required
  • Assist in keeping the parts inventory orderly and up to date
  • Receive and check incoming shipments
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Be involved in inventory management, invoicing and other admin tasks
  • Assisting the service department when required
  • Relevant experience within the plant industry, car industry or similar
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
  • The ability to get on with all different types of people in a fastpaced environment
  • A good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service and building rapport with customers

  • Flexible and positive attitude with an outgoing approach to work
  • Friendly and approachable manner so you can assist internal and external customers
  • This is not a reactive order taking role, you must be comfortable selling and upselling in a proactive manner face to face and by phone
