Key Responsibilities:


  • Work at pace within the Finance Transformation Project team.
  • Testing the configuration of Accounts Payable functionality, escalating any defects to the Workstream Lead.
  • Help to deliver and drive the improvement in the quality of supplier master data.
  • Train Proactis, our automated invoice management tool, to use AI to recognise the format of supplier invoice and credit note templates.
  • Provide training, coaching and support to the existing team in preparation for golive and beyond.
  • Assist the existing Transactional team to process expenditure transactions using the Society's new finance system and ensure they comply with internal procedures and guidance.
  • Handle suppliers' queries to ensure payments are made in line with Policies and suppliers' payment terms, liaising with the appropriate budget holder as necessary.
  • Provide a high quality of customer service to internal and external customers.

Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:

  • AAT qualified or working towards or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting standards, yearend audit requirements and financial policies, process and control.
  • Experience in the charity sector would be an advantage.
  • Experience in finance or other processing roles.
  • Experience using Unit 4/Agresso finance system or other ERP systems.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced project, ideally a finance transformation
