Are you interested in joining a established, popular and growing dog grooming salon in a great location in Accrington, Lancashire? The Doghouse has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced dog groomer to establish or expand their own business with mínimal start up costs by renting a table in our busy, spacious and modern grooming salon.

We are looking for a qualified groomer to join our salon in an independent, self-employed role.

A few years' experience would be ideal but is not essential, more important is someone who is enthusiastic, independent, trustworthy and has great customer service skills in order to maintain our excellent standards and reputation.

We are currently fully booked, usually several weeks in advance, and turning away new customers.

Also, our groomer will be starting maternity leave in July so we will then have existing customers who will need their dogs groomed.

We will therefore be able to recommend your services to new and existing clients.

This is a permanent role and really is a fantastic opportunity for a groomer to expand their client base whilst maintaining a self employed status and choosing your own working hours.


You will get:

  • Access to bath, electric grooming tables, blasters and driers, also harnesses etc

  • Use of our staff facilities including kitchen, toilet, washing machine etc

You need:

  • At least one year's experience and be able to show a portfolio of your work
  • A City and Guilds professional dog grooming qualification or similar (practical experience, not elearning)
  • You can have your own client base or build one whilst at our salon
  • Public liability insurance
  • Your own clippers, scissors, blades, brushes etc
