An opportunity has arisen within the City Transport Division working in the Engagement and Active Travel Team which aims to increase active travel modes within businesses, communities and schools and reduce single car occupancy.

This will increase physical activity, improve and encourage healthy lifestyles and air quality in the city.


You will be responsible for helping to deliver the School Street programme working with schools, Road Safety Education team and other teams to help change travel behaviour, encourage walking, cycling and other sustainable modes, improve road safety and air quality.


You would need to demonstrate experience of behaviour change projects, be motivated and enthusiastic, educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience in partnership working within a school-based environment.


You must have excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills, the ability to motivate and enthuse others, the ability to develop and maintain external relationships and the ability to use your organisational skills to plan, organise and prioritise your own workload.
