Description

The Health Protection Administrator is an important role within the new Health Protection Team, and will use their skills, experience, and learning to contribute to and support a strong, sustainable and integrated health protection response for Powys.


The Health Protection Service will perform as an agile team working across Powys, supporting proactive activities e.g., outreach, sampling, screening, supporting Health Protection incidents, also responding to Health Protection threats at very short notice, including proactive and surge response to wider public health threats and inequalities.


The Administration Team will form the hub of the agile Health Protection Service and will provide project support to work streams as required, and regular administration duties to the Health Protection service.

Within the role, the post holder will have responsibility for the below key areas:

  • Co-ordination of internal/external meetings.
  • Sampling booking, result outcomes and associated procedures, including providing results and any stakeholder management regarding results.
  • Day to day administration tasks e.g., taking incoming calls to the team,
scanning, preparing PowerPoint slides and running reports.

  • Administration support to Health Protection team, e.g., meeting minutes
and maintaining action lists. Further administration support at request of
Management team.

  • Dealing with queries from members of staff and the public in relation to
the Health Protection Service, (including testing queries).
