Facilities Maintenance Electrician
Location - Northampton

Salary - £30,000


YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
An Opportunity to join a Market-Leading Engineering company. To maintain and repair plant electrical systems and carry out project work as specified by the Facilities Supervisor.


DUTIES

  • To carry out preventative maintenance as scheduled
  • To repair site plant breakdowns, mainly electrical with some mechanical and electronic basic fault finding using machine diagnostics
  • To work on new site electrical internal projects
  • To complete facilities job tickets promptly
  • To work safely with a high standard of cleanliness at all times
  • To work on new electrical installations
  • To test portable appliances and maintaining the Portable Appliance Register
  • To test electrical installations
  • To ensure the Company premises comply with all current electrical legislation
  • To perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the Facilities Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • City & Guilds 236 Electrical installation parts 1 and
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
  • The latest 18th edition compliance Regulations (BS 7671:2018.)
  • Portable Appliance Testing certification

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Good organisation skills & able to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office would be beneficial
  • Installation breakdown experience/ maintenance 3yrs on site experience after apprenticeship
  • Working on control switch gear/ Instrumentation equipment
  • Fault finding on general factory installation/ instrumentation equipment
  • Works well on own initiative with good attention to detail
  • Self-Motivated
  • Works well with a team
  • Good personal organisation skills and time management
  • Effective communicator
  • Flexible to working hours whilst addressing breakdowns
