About the Employer

I am the employer and also the service user who has been allocated 10 hours support per week via a direct payment.

I reside independently with a house mate in my own property and have a diagnosis of Autism, PTSD and suffer with anxiety and depression at times.

I am extremely isolated and lack motivation due to spending so much time alone and within my own home.

I am seeking a PA to provide companionship, friendship, support and assistance with social activities, general support and prompt around my home and assistance to help me maintain my personal hygiene and care.

The role of the PA will be to provide companionship and promote my independence, mental health and general wellbeing with the addition of some personal care.

The PA I am looking for will assist me in managing appointments and my diary, engaging me in new experiences and supporting to some social events and activities Encouraging, prompting, and reminding me to take medication, help and assist me with personal care & prepare meals.

I have some allergies and intolerances to certain foods, so someone with cooking skills to help me prepare freshly cooked meals is a requirement, as this is often missed and not a priority to me generally.

I am open to trying new things and have an interest in Arts/Crafts, Video games, being outdoors, going to the beach, Country Parks and Café's, however I can struggle in places with a lot of noise or when particularly busy.

I enjoy attending planned courses/activities but will require my PA to accompany me, as I feel this is something I am unable to feel confident in doing this alone.
