A specialist recruitment consultancy based in Newcastle with a growing number of highly skilled professional contractors are looking to create a new role for a Payroll Specialist to set up and manage their weekly payroll services bringing the operation backin-house to manage.

Whether you are a Payroll Officer still learning and lookingfor more responsibility and a step up, or more experienced in the profession, yet keen to find a new challenge without working crazy hours, this opportunity can provide for both.


You will initially work with the operations team, sourcing the most suitable payroll software to purchase for the job in hand, running a trial dummy transition period before going live.

Your day to day responsibilities will include processing and managingthe weekly payroll, calculations, deductions, journals, reporting, payment and payslip/invoice issue.


Your role will be supported by the Consultants who will liaise with the Contractors (PAYE and Ltd) and clients on your behalf should there be any queries to answer, your role will be to provide any required payroll information / calculations to them.

There is scope for this role to grow as the business continues to expand presenting further opportunities.


This position requires regular communication and is best enjoyed working from the office with the support from colleagues and an inclusive team.
