Location:
Newcastle Station

Length: 4 Month Initial Contract

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the railway sector? We are seeking enthusiastic Gateline Assistants to be the welcoming face of customer service at Newcastle Station.

This is your opportunity to cultivate new skills, acquire valuable experience, and contribute to the seamless travel experience of numerous passengers.


Your Role:

As a Gateline Assistant, you'll be on the frontline of passenger interactions, providing information, assistance, and ensuring a warm welcome for travellers.

Your responsibilities include aiding passengers with journey enquiries, ticket information, providing guidance on train times, and supporting the unsocial behaviour team.

You will also play a crucial role in ensuring passenger safety while operating the station barriers.


This role serves as your gateway to a multitude of exciting career paths within the railway sector such as On-Board Train Host, Dispatchers and Train Drivers.

The contract will include
20 hours a week on average, being part of a team who works early shifts (
starting at 06:00am at the earliest) and late shifts (
finishing at 23:00pm at the latest).
