We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer with strong APQP and PPAP knowledge, to work on a specialist project, based on-site at a luxurious automotive manufacturer in Warwickshire.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:

Automotive Technical Administration
Reviewing and approving PPAP submissions
Expediting and controlling supplier PPAP/ IMDS submissions
Compiling and drafting documentation
Understanding APQP requirements
Liaising with suppliers
Summarising status of PPAP/IMDS
Communicating internally with other areas of the business
Carry out reporting and utilise database systems
Automotive Part Manufacturing Experience
AA (Production Part Approval process 18 Elements ) knowledge and ability to approve supplier parts and processes
Supplier Quality management experience for Concern resolution using 8D problem solving principles
Ability to read 2D engineering drawing
Ability to interrogate 3D CAD / light weight PLM UGS viewers drawings
Ability to manage & contact and meet with suppliers to discuss PPAP approval
Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision.

Due to the nature of the role, there may be requirements to travel to suppliers across the UK & Europe.

£ £30.00 per hour (Inside IR35)

This project falls inside IR35. The rates above are based on umbrella pay rates.
