Key purposes of the role:
- Managing Big Creative Training's reception, welcoming visitors and dealing with enquiries.
- To provide a high standard of customer service to all learners & staff.
- To be proactive in resolving issues in and around the building.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To open and close the site in the absence of the caretaker/facilities manager as required
- Key Holder
- Welcome and sign in visitors and contractors upon arrival
- Ensure the safeguarding of students through visitor management and issuance of Keeping Safe document.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person/department
- To issue temporary IDs to students and visitors
- Manage and maintain the filing of external visitors
- Take calls from students and parents to record absences/ lateness and inform student services and tutors
- Answer and forward incoming phone calls and take down messages
- Ensure reception and the rest of the building is tidy and presentable at all times
- Maintain supplies of tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk and fruits for staff and breakfast club supplies
- Manage Lunch List in liaison with Student Services
- To manage room bookings for meetings, training sessions and the Enrichment program for students on Arbor
- To receive and secure exam papers in liaison with the Exams officer.
- To manage general noticeboards (student services posters, safeguarding posters) throughout the building ensuring all are up to date and current.
- To take part in the Fire Warden and First Aid roster and maintain specific records.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail / deliveries.
- Maintain security by following safety protocols and controlling access into the school.
- Order taxis for students that need to be sent home in emergencies.
- Experience of managing a busy reception
- Experience of administrative work
- Good knowledge of officebased systems i.e. Microsoft office
- Ability to accurately input data
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Aptitude for hard work, the ability to take initiatives with a flexible approach
Salary and days of work

35 hours per week, Full Time (52 weeks)
- Annual Leave 22 days + 8 Bank Holidays
- Salary is
£23,500 per annum - Start Date
