We are looking for a Weekend Assistant Cook in our Walsall Hospice, to support the Cook with all catering requirements for the hospice.


About the Role


As an Assistant Cook, you will provide support in the kitchen including cooking and serving of meals throughout the day.

You will assist with the safe disposal and storage of food, so you'll need to have a good understanding of food hygiene and COSHH requirements.

You'll support with catering-related cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and storage areas, equipment, crockery and cutlery.

You will be required to meet the needs of the children in our care.


About You
You will have previous experience of catering duties, including preparation, cooking, and serving food. You'll have good knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene and infection control procedures. You'll be committed to high standards of cleanliness.

You will have a good standard of general education along with a Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate.


What We Offer
- £21,450 per annum Pro Rata (£11.00 per hour)

  • Salary enhancement: Saturday £11.00ph plus 30% enhancements: £14.50ph. Sunday, Nights, and Bank Holidays £11.

50 plus 50% enhancements:
£16.50.
