Building on our success, we are continuing to develop avenues for new business opportunities. Having recently opened our sixth depot in Nottingham, we have ambitious plans for further growth and business expansion.


Our rapid growth means that we currently operate from six locations - our main head office in Swadlincote in the East Midlands, Tipton in the West Midlands, Nottingham, Canvey Island, Bristol, and Glasgow.


Position:

As a Warehouse Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient operation and sustainable growth of the warehouse. You will lead a team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities to ensure the success of the business.

Your commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers will be evident in your daily actions, as you strive for excellence, drive change, and continually seek improvement.

Upholding operational policies, adhering to transport regulations, promoting health and safety, and effectively managing your team are essential aspects of your role.


While you play a vital role in achieving success, you will have the backing of a Depot Manager, Operations Manager, and Operations Director.

Close collaboration with these individuals, as well as with central teams such as Sales, Commercial, and People, will provide the support and resources necessary to excel in your position.


Requirements:

  • Implementing a robust business strategy that supports positive growth, regularly reviewing and updating it to align with the budget.
  • Adhering to cost controls and achieving targeted profit growth in line with the sales plan.
  • Effectively utilising your depot and sales teams to support, develop, implement, and monitor the sales strategy.
  • Ensuring successful delivery of sales, cost management, transport profit, and overall profitability.
  • Handling customer inquiries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Leading your team to prioritise customer satisfaction and understand the importance of delivering excellence both locally and nationally.
  • Confidently coaching and developing your team to provide excellent service.
  • Building strong relationships and trust with customers, while also guiding your team to do the same.
  • Consistently delivering exceptional customer service by understanding their needs and providing the right range of products at accurate prices and with high quality.
  • Working closely with your teams to achieve excellence, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Continually seeking new sales opportunities to ensure the ongoing growth of the warehouse.
  • Promoting a positive and productive work environment and fostering a highperformance culture within your team.
  • Ensuring legal compliance in the depot through adherence to transport legislation and operational requirements.
  • Maintaining efficiency through effective people management and setting performance expectations.
  • Delegating and supervising daily tasks, taking accountability for any issues or escalations.
  • Motivating and supporting the wellbeing and development of all direct and indirect reports.
  • Implementing HR processes and procedures fairly and consistently, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary meetings, performance management, and appraisals.
  • Overseeing culture change initiatives and process development.

  • You have experience and can demonstrate successful sales strategy
  • You know your local and national competitors and how to confidently compete
  • You are confident and able to build relationships to increase customer accounts
  • You will have excellent logistics knowledge including transport legislation
  • Experience in leading and motivating your team
  • Knowledge or understanding of HR issues and managing performance
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and meeting targets
  • Experience of working to KPI's, budgets, tight deadlines and targets
  • Understanding of working in an environment with daily changing workloads
  • You will thrive in a customer driven and fast paced environment
  • Confident with a fair and consistent approach to people management
  • Able to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively at all levels and solve problems autonomou
