About the Role
Wood Innovations are looking to recruit a Credit Controller (Maternity Cover) who can manage and maintain the company's credit and debt collection processes.
The role will require a detail-oriented, organised individual who can use their own initiative to identify and mitigate credit risk, while ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for each Account on the Sales Ledgers ensuring all information is up to date.
- Proactively manage customer payments, in accordance with company policy.
- Allocation of receipts on system.
- Liaise with management and sales team regarding account updates.
- Ensure customer queries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Establish good working relationships with all customers.
- Plan and lead monthly credit control meetings.
- Prepare and distribute weekly credit control reports.
- Assisting with a wide variety of other credit control processes and procedures.
- Adhoc office duties.
Other Duties
- Assist all areas where necessary across the business in support of companywide objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- To work effectively with other teams and departments.
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Essential
- Experience of working in a credit control or customer accounts environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to problem solve and work under own initiative.
- Proficient in MS Office to include Excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
- Reporting to the Financial Controller & Senior Management team.
- Must have minimum of GCSE Grade B in English & Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Strong analytical skills, business savvy and ability to multitask.
- Experience in working successfully with third party suppliers/agencies.
- Selfmotivated and able to drive projects forward autonomously.
- Have full driving licence and access to own car.
Desirable
- At least 2 years of experience using an ERP system to effectively manage Customer information.
- Experience with voice over IP telephone system.
