Becoming a Senior Business Analyst with Smart DCC:

This is a fantastic day rate contract opportunity to secure an initial 6 months contract as a Senior Business Analyst within DCC.

The Senior Business Analyst role can be based in London or Manchester on a hybrid working model (2 days office based, 3 days remote.

The Senior Business Analyst's delivery responsibility will be through programme assignment where you will lead business analysis activity as part of a multi-disciplinary programme team in a matrix environment.

The Senior Business Analyst's will be accountablefor delivering a highly stakeholder focused and responsive service that produces quality deliverables, including extensive interaction with programme directors, internal business owners (including members of the DCC Executive Committee) and external stakeholdersincluding representatives from government & regulatory bodies.


What you'll be doing:
Senior Business Analysts will support the development of business cases, including conducting feasibility assessments, clarifying business objectives, confirming that project delivery strategies are aligned to business objectives and defining the approachto business analysis services (including resource requirements) in the context of each specific programme

Define the scope of business analysis activity for a specific programme/project, identifying the systems/process impacted by the business need (including regulatory, technical, commercial and process documentation), creating and managing the stakeholderengagement strategy and defining the business analysis artefacts required for a specific project and the associated assurance strategy.

Develop, manage and maintain a detailed, credible plan for the conduct of business analysis activity, identifying activities and resources required, critical path, risks and dependencies.

Identify and manage inter project dependencies, ensuring alignmentof requirements with business needs across multiple projects/workstreams.

Activity Management including scheduling and allocation of work activities on a day-to-day basis across a team of business analysts, identifying plan over-runs, understanding the impact, managing dependencies between projects and managing the developmentof solutions to get the business analysis activities back on track and escalating accordingly.

Provide leadership to BA resources, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, analysing resource constraints and working with project managers and function leads to resolve issues (including performance/capability issues and redeploymentof resources across projects).

Regularly assess resource utilisation projects and against the resource schedule and identify variances that require action.

Support development of the BA Practice and act as role model for business analysts, demonstrating thought leadership and compliance with DCC values.

Lead initiatives to support the continuous improvement of the practice and actively contributes to theevolution of business analysis vision, utilising the vision to inspire DCC colleagues
Line Management responsibility, manage a team of business analysts showing strong leadership experience, actively creates a positive team culture in which everybody is able to contribute and knowledge is shared, team members support each other and expressgratitude and appreciation to each other
Establishes relationships with key decision makers, persuading, convincing and negotiating to gain agreement

What we're looking for:
Extensive, proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst who can demonstrate credibility and the ability to influence at a high level within their current or previous roles
Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst on significant £multi-million programmes with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and multiple 3rd party suppliers

Demonstrable experience working leading teams of BAs on complex business transformation programmes, 3rd party technology delivery and / or integration programmes, or significant procurement programmes.

Demonstrable experience of building high performing business analysis teams and managing others to consistently deliver high a quality business analysis service
Demonstrable line management experience, leading teams of more than 5 people in a high pressure, challenging environment
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to gain credibility with Executive level stakeholders
