The Role

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare materials ahead of time based on need / preference as directed by student participants and/or the hiring manager.
Administer appropriate communication channels and organise sessions.
Deliver face to face tutoring sessions to groups of 23 students.
Deploy evaluation of tutoring at regular intervals.
Report student progress to hiring manager.

Skills and Experience

Good honours Undergraduate degree in Chemistry (required);
Previous experience in Chemistry tutoring or mentoring (desired);
Previous experience in working with neurodiverse students or an awareness of neurodiverse conditions (desired);
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to empathise and adjust teaching styles for a group of students with different neurodiverse needs.

Additional Information

Advert closing date:
Sunday 23rd April 2023.

Hours and days:
Up to 10 hours/week on an ad hoc basis.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 2 months

Salary:
£17.08 per hour
