EHS Advisor to join us in Runcorn.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective environmental, health, safety processes are in place and implemented through the organisation, providing a day to day supporting & advisory role
  • Provide competent advice to line management on EH&S issues (incidents, investigations, risk assessments, procedures employee concerns, emergency preparedness and changes affecting EH&S),
  • Support EHS Team / Managers to ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process (COSHH, manual handling and ergonomic).
  • Ensure EH&S Training (including inductions) are provided, monitored, recorded and delivered internally
  • Support in the reporting and investigation of accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses and workrelated ill health
  • Support/participate in workplace EH&S audits and inspections
  • Monitor and follow up EH&S actions and prepare monthly performance metrics
  • Support EH&S committee meetings and maintain records
  • Provide guidance and contribute to the successful implementation of the EHS management programs, aiming to reduce losses to the business and employees
  • The Role will be EHS support as required with the majority being administrative

Key Objectives

  • Supporting EHS department with record keeping
  • Oversee site Training Program
  • Facilitate OH Medical Appointments
  • Raising purchase orders and arranging contracted services (Contractors)
  • Managing EHS databases and systems

Basic Qualifications

  • Full competence in Microsoft Office package (including Sharepoint)
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks at one time
  • Previous experience in an EHS advisory role
