Etex are seeking a Logistics and Stock Supervisor to join the team

What you'll do:

The Logistics and Stock Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth running of the department.

This will include inventory levels for Finished Goods, Raw Material Control, FC Slates, Cladding Products (Cedral and Equitone), and Profiled Sheeting.


Key Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

  • Supporting all the other Logistics Departments when required with the picking and packing of FC Slates, Cladding Products (Cedral and Equitone) and Profiled Sheeting, and the loading/unloading of transport vehicles
  • Setting high performance standards in safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, personnel management/development, and cost control
  • To be responsible and accountable for yourself, LMSO and MSO and within your span of control or level of influence promote health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental purposes to team members as well as adherence to policies, procedures and Processes that fall within your function/expertise and Company rules
  • Conducting all necessary and timely communications with the Logistics and Stock Manager and fully oversee the department when the Logistics & Stock Manager is on holiday or absent from site
  • Oversee returns to ensure they are correct with no damage before recording arrival and booking to stock as well as raising issues with the Logistics & Stock Manager or Burton Office
  • Investigate complaint enquiries, communicate findings to Burton and recording of data
  • Assist in import delivery unloading slot bookings
  • Assist Logistics & Stock manger in resolving any daily issues that arise
  • Responsible to assist with all department deliveries and customer collections if required, ensuring all actions taken are in accordance with Company procedures
  • Manage both the planning and stock rotation function for all warehouses when required to provide a stable platform for material delivery to the customer.
  • Ensure adequate performance is maintained during department activities to achieve all goals to help maintain and support the requirement of the business to meets its objectives
  • Support the performance of the Logistics Departments and to carry out accurate cycle & annual stock counts of all departments when requested
  • Ensure high levels of stock control are in place when working in the different departments including accurate timely communication to the relevant people to ensure levels are kept up to date and always correct
  • Operate as an integral part of the operation to ensure that the Logistics Department is aligned with all aspects to service our customers
  • Responsible for accuracy and to ensure complaints are kept below the Logistics Departments set KPI's along with ensuring orders are sent out on time and in full. (OTIF)
  • Maintain a good level of housekeeping in all areas of your control to eliminate risk to yourself and all other employees or visitors to the area.
  • Maintain and develop the areas of control to ensure the sites 5s score is maximised to the full.
  • Monitoring and highlighting risks and opportunities related to the operations of the Logistics Departments within your control.
  • Reduce impact to the environment and assist in zero waste to landfill by recycling pallets effectively
  • Any other tasks commensurate with this post

What you'll bring

  • Hold a current FLT license by a recognised training provider
  • Proven experience of leading a warehouse and distribution environment of finished products including stock control & inventory management
  • Strong SAP experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • FLT Licence recognised by a training provider
