We are a specialist plant hire company based in Farnborough, Hampshire.

Having been in operation since 2005, we have established ourselves as the go to place for all your specialist plant hire requirements.

We service customers requirements all over the UK and can provide a same or next day service on 95% of our equipment.

We are also distributors for several well-known brands in the construction sector and have a large stock of ex-hire equipment for sale.


The Role


As the Hire Controller you will deal with clients from the initial inquiry stages through to quotation, follow up and processing of the hire orders.

We are looking for someone with a proactive approach who can investigate further business opportunities with both new and existing clients


Other duties include:

  • Taking and processing orders for hires and consumable sales, focusing on upselling where possible
  • Using our hire system to complete hire agreements, sales notes, book transport, place orders with suppliers, and update contracts will all customer communications
  • Learning about our products and continually developing your knowledge to better assist our customers
  • Contact dormant or lapsed accounts to generate new business
  • Taking responsibility for key accounts and working to increase their yearly spend
  • Liaising with staff members, customers and suppliers
  • Keeping work environment clean and tidy
  • Assisting with other tasks as required
You must be able to multi-task and priorities your workload.

Prior experience is not necessary as full training on our hire system and products will be provided. Excellent customer service skills are a must and anyone with a sales/business like acumen is a bonus.

A 'can do' attitude and the ability to work under pressure is key.

As is being able to build a good rapport with customers while giving them the confidence that you are going to give them what they need for their job, when they need it.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Salary:
£18,500.00-£23,500.00 per year
