Description
We are looking for two practitioners; one for Enfield and one for Haringey CAMHS.

The post holder will be under the BEH CAMHS management structure and receive regular supervision from within the service.

They will be co-located with Operation Engage with other L&D practitioners and the Local Authority YJS, complimenting the existing coordinated and successful approach by developing and supporting systems to ensure that when a young person is arrested, they are provided the opportunity for a mental health, safety, and wellbeing assessment.

The post holder will provide a service from the custody suite at Wood Green Police station.

They will need to attend other sites for meetings and supervision, as directed by their clinical supervisor and operational leads within BEH CAMHS.

The post holder will ensure that when a young person, who has been arrested they will have access to a mental health professional who will be able to provide an assessment and link the young person with the relevant community services.


  • Communicate complex information in simple ways to children and young people in highly stressful environments.
  • Dealing with sensitive or contentious information, sharing information in line with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR)
  • To maintain confidentiality of any information received in the course of your duties.
  • To work in partnership with other agencies to safeguard and protect children, young people, and adults
  • Routine communication, which may be complex, i.e.
, involving a number of agencies / service providers for youth offenders with concerns around:
physical/mental health; safeguarding; and criminal justice
