Description

The role is mainly financial / statutory accounting based but will also involve revenue analysis to senior stakeholders, as you would expect in a small Finance function to get involved in a variety of tasks.

This role would also just look at 2023 reportingand numbers (rather than have to look back at historical accounting and reporting) and how things are progressing this year.


The role would offer hybrid working (3 days a week in the office) and a collaborative, positive and collegiate working environment.

Prior experience with the system NetSuite would be a bonus (but is not essential).


Profile Criteria:


  • Fully-Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant
  • Solid financial / statutory accounting and monthend reporting experience
  • Someone who has the desire and ambition to grow their skills and experience as an accountant and is keen to make a positive impression, add value and take on various tasks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Someone who is excited to work in a fastpaced and busy fintech startup environment, taking endtoend ownership of their tasks / responsibilities with a problemsolving mindset

Role Purpose
The role reports to the Group Financial Controller and is responsible for the provision of support for month end, the preparation of monthly management accounts, account reconciliations, year end audit and statutory reporting


Key Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for month end process along with the Group Financial Controller.
  • Preparing the monthly financial reports with commentary
  • Supervising the management accountant with the month end close
  • Reconcile along with the Management Accountant all balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare management pack for the UK entities
  • Responsible for the international entity audit
  • Review and submit the quarterly VAT returns
  • Support the Group Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks as required
