Job description:
Role
We are looking for an experienced Programme Test Specialist to lead the programme test team and to build a future team that will be "long lived" in TPR.
They must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of different tools and techniques and be able to train others ('practitioner' level).
They will work with stakeholders and colleagues across the TPR organisation and drive the collection of information and the creation of recommendations for improvements.
They will also have the ability to absorb large amounts of conflicting information and to use it to determine solutions.
Responsibilities
- Taking tactical ownership of the Quality Assurance activities across the OneAE portfolio.
- Oversee and coordinate all Programme testing activities and coach and train as applicable to ensure timely delivery of testing to plan.
- Accountable for adherence to TPR Test Standards and service delivery quality to OneAE.
- Form positive and productive relationships with OneAE stakeholders to ensure alignment and to deliver the right outcomes.
- Ensure appropriate engagement with stakeholders to validate products before Go Live.
- Ownership of Test documentation including Programme Test Strategy and individual Test Plans, ensure completion to an appropriate quality.
- Line management of AE programme test resources and coaching and development of the assigned team.
- Drive team efficiency and deliver Value for Money.
- Ensure that all types of testing are considered and that the outcomes are fit for purpose for sign off and golive.
Person specification:
Essential and Desirable Criteria
- Good experience of redefining team operations and structure.
- Experience of managing testing on a cloud platform
- Microsoft technology Stack (desirable)
- Experience of managing and developing test resources.
- Demonstrable experience delivering testing operations within both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Certification with a recognised testing qualification (ISTQB Advanced or higher).
- Leadership.
- Tenacity, holding people accountable including those more senior.
- Being able to push back professionally e.g., where entry criteria are not met.
- Excellent people skills, quick to collaborate.
- Proactive and flexible.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Presentation and communication skills at all stakeholder levels.
