We are looking for a part-time dedicated and enthusiastic cook to join our team at the George Steven Community Hub.


You will engage with a diverse range of people within the community including adults with learning and physical disabilities, the elderly, and those suffering from food insecurity.

At the hub, we believe that every person should be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Preparation, cooking and serving of meals for the community that are of good quality, nutritious and affordable
  • Menu planning and delivery of cooking sessions for community groups including adults with learning and physical disabilities
  • Stock checking and ordering
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure best value for money and minimise food wastage
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen environment
  • You will work in a confidential, empathetic, and nonjudgemental manner that maintains the dignity of all customers and service users
