We're looking for a Communications & Corporate Affairs Executive to join Moneysupermarket Group.

This is the great role if you're looking for the next step in your career and you enjoy working in a lean and fast-paced communications team.

You'll have a huge variety of work to get stuck into including:
campaigns, media relations and briefings across PR and corporate affairs. This is a great chance for a self-starter who takes the initiative and works at pace.

About the role- Develop and implement PR campaigns that ensure our brands and products cut through with journalists and deliver positive media coverage- Work alongside the senior manager to respond to media enquiries to secure positive media coverage and protect our reputation- Manage our internal tracking and reporting and ensure materials are kept up to date (including speaking opportunities, media coverage tracker and communications calendar)- Write and proof-read materials including responses to media queries, press releases and media alerts, Q&As and briefing documents - as well as content for our owned channels, including digital and social media- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists and industry influencers to increase awareness of our products and services- Build and nurture relationships with internal colleagues, including our commercial teams and across the customer and marketing function- Support the development and execution of communications events, such as media briefings, internal communications events, and charity partnership initiatives


About you- You'll have experience working in a PR department, or agency and a strong understanding of the press office function and how the media works- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Exceptional organisation and time management - and you're comfortable with fast-paced decisions and rapidly changing environments- Great initiative and ability to think ahead - and you're confident taking ownership of decision making- Capable of multi-tasking assignments both big and small- Proactive and able to complete tasks with a sense of urgency- Sound judgement to handle sensitive issues with professionalism- Experience of both PR campaigns you've worked on and of dealing with reactive media enquiries.

You'll be able to discuss examples of your work that demonstrate your instinct for what makes a good news story- Experience working across channels, including social and digital.

You enjoy partnering with colleagues to maximise the reach and impact of earned campaigns on other channels- Existing relationships across media, and keen to build your relationships with personal finance, insurance, technology, lifestyle and consumer journalists Resilience and diplomacy; you work collaboratively to get the best outcomes- Self-confident, but continuously seeking to improve by appraising your own work and taking feedback onboard- Able to maximise opportunities to build your skills and prioritise your development
