Description
The University has received funding for one of three Hubs in Telecommunications, named 'Platform Driving the Ultimate Connectivity' (TITAN). The TITAN consortium comprises 16 UK universities, each with distinct domain expertise in telecommunications. The University of Cambridge, through its LiFi Research Centre (LRC), is leading TITAN.

The aim of this Hub is to lay the foundations for the future 'network of networks' and to translate this research into emerging global standards, such as 6th generation (6G) wireless networks.

Additionally, the University is involved in the second Telecoms Hub, 'All-Spectrum Connectivity' (HASC), which is led by the University of Oxford, along with several other publicly funded projects aligned with TITAN.

The TITAN Hub unit will be based within the Electrical Engineering Division at West Cambridge and we are seeking an experienced Research Coordinator to provide coordination support for all ongoing projects and management of the day-to-day operations of the LRC.

You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of all administrative and financial matters, overseeing recruitment processes, arranging travel and workshops, and acting as a Personal Assistant to the Principal Investigator (PI).

You will also support the development of new project proposals stemming from the research in these projects.

Educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification, or equivalent level of practical experience, you will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office, as well as proficient in the use of the LaTeX document preparation software, with excellent organisational skills.

Previous administrative experience within a role in higher education, as well as an understanding of research coordination are essential. Ideally, this would have been gained from a background in a similar role in the University. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary pre-requisites for this role.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2025 in the first instance.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
