We're seeking an experienced and supportive Project Worker to join our small, well-established, team at Nickleby Road to provide housing related support to our customers.

We provide support for adults with learning disabilities, through short-term accommodation to help build independent living skills. We're a national award-winning service and pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service to our customers.

We have our own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Regularly assessing the needs of customers by writing and updating support plans and signposting access to education, training, and employment
  • Supporting customers in their day to day living i.e., with cooking and cleaning
  • Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
  • Assisting customers with managing finances and welfare benefits
  • Encouraging social inclusion and helping customers to build their confidence, resilience, and selfesteem
  • Working with statutory and nonstatutory agencies on behalf of the customers and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Completing health and safety checks within the service
  • Safeguarding customers and advising them how to keep themselves safe and who to report to in times of concern

Skills and experiences:


  • You will be flexible, resolution focused, and have a passion for working with customers with disabilities
  • You will be a team player but also have the initiative and ability to work on your own to provide housing related support to our customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build strong working relationships
  • An understanding of occupancy agreements and housing management services
  • Good IT Skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
