Our Bright Start Islington Integrated Service has a Health Visitor Clinical Lead Vacancy for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health
This exciting new post involves focussed work on PNMH and Parent-Infant Relationships, working closely with the Specialist PNMH HV. There is also responsibility for the delivery of Universal Health Services to designated areas with the Bright Start locality. Reporting to the Team Leader/Locality Manager they will support the development of the service and work with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective universal health provision

The role takes a clinical lead in supporting the wider Bright Start Health Visiting teams to deliver on one of the key objectives identified and agreed for the Bright Start service and the Islington Family Hub action plan.


You will work alongside the Specialist PNMH HV and others to ensure that the training, support, protocols and policy agreed are embedded locally across the integrated teams and Bright Start localities.


You will be involved in the development and delivery of a quality assurance framework relating to your specialist are of interest to ensure we are all providing a safe, effective and quality service.

Health visitors in Bright Start Islington deliver the Healthy Child Programme from parents' homes, Children's Centres and Health Centres.

We work closely with our key partners in Early Years and in the wider Health arena to provide an integrated service to all families in Islington understanding that together we achieve much more.


We provide:

- a robust induction programme and a comprehensive preceptorship framework programme to support newly qualified staff.
- regular management and clinical supervision.
- regular perinatal consultations, multiagency meetings, safeguarding supervision, Clinical Professional Development forums and Integrated meetings with our partners.

  • A robust training package which includes promotional guide training, the unicef infant feeding training, PNMH training (iHV), Emotional Well Being Training (IHV) and NBO training, SLT training, leadership and much more.
  • A well being package recognising that we need to support you to keep you well so you can support those you work with.
