Senior Technician

Senior Technician Role


As one of the Senior Technicians, you will take a proactive approach to building, deploying and maintaining complex R&D instrumentation incorporating a range of products and devices while working alongside multiskilled Scientists and Engineers.


You will troubleshoot and record issues while performing a range of tests with mínimal guidance to ensure the highest Quality standards are adhered to in line with ISO 13485.


Senior Technician Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact for all inspections to support product registrations
  • Plan and develop engineering projects and responsibilities
  • Provide technical input and oversight to the wider business and Scientific teams
  • Build, troubleshoot, and deploy specialised instrumentation incorporating microfluidics
  • Proactively seek to improve the performance and reliability of R&D devices
  • Prototype and assemble parts using the equipment required
  • Procure and maintain stocks of parts
  • Draft and maintain documentation within a regulated ISO 13485 environment
  • SOP's, instructions and assist with BOM's

Senior Technician Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years working with medical devices or IVD's
  • Selfmotivated
  • Multiskilled with the assembly of R&D devices, rags and fixtures
  • Capable of drafting SOP's and further reports
  • Basic CAD experience and other fault tracking software
