Purpose of Position
This is a year in industry placement for students between their 2nd and 3rd year who would like to gain professional experience in a business intelligence role within the online marketing industry.
In each of these teams the Business Intelligence Intern will be exposed to a range of duties with regards to gathering business requirements through to producing reports based on these requirements.
Key Tasks
- Providing support to our data analysts by writing Spark SQL queries and using a basic level of Python.
- Building out reports Tableau and eventually offering others in the business help with their Tableau queries.
- Producing CDEs (custom data extracts) based on client requests by building out Python Data Frames and entering records to a control database (MSSQL)
- Become proficient in querying Awin databases using Databricks, Spark SQL and Python to assist in extracting data for reports
- Monitor the teams communication channels to respond to (and escalate where necessary) any queries
Skills & Expertise
- Undergraduate who currently is studying an IT/Business related degree and possesses excellent computer literacy and has some previous customer service experience.
- Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Great attention to detail and problem solving
- Ability to understand web languages such as basic SQL
- Strives to continually improve productivity and quality of work produced.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team
