Salary:
£35,000 FTE (salary dependant on experience)
What you'll be doing:
Supervise and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis for insurance premium payments
Responsible for all transactional financial activity as part of the within the function including purchase orders, invoices, foreign currency, internal recharges and general ledger maintenance
Understand the Finance Governance requirements including the financial control framework
Monitor cash flow for the department
Support a range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department including but not exclusively booking meetings, arranging conferences and overseas travel
Support the Director of Insurable Risk in scheduling appointments, booking travel and completing/submitting expense claims
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Strong administration skills
Strong analytical skills and expert in MS Excel
Strong focus on attention to detail
Basic understanding of Finance duties, including invoicing, purchase orders and expenses
Demonstrates excellent communication skills including the ability to handle difficult or sensitive issues with diplomacy, discretion and sensitivity.
Desirable:
Experience and knowledge of insurance policies and risk

The Group Insurable Risk team:
This role sits in the Business Support team but is required to report to the Director, Group Insurable Risk on a regular basis in respect of the department finances.
The is role requires a good understanding of the organisation in general and the department's key internal and external stakeholders as well as finance experience or qualifications.
