FP&A Manager

Location - Blackpool
Salary - £46,000 DOE + bonus

Simpson Judge are working with an innovate and collaborative logistics company, with offices based in Blackpool.

My client is looking for someone who can play a key role in improving both the short-term and long-term planning to drive business success.

What would my main responsibilities be?

  • Create recommendations to be presented to management and stakeholders.
  • Develop financial models to support planning, and forecasting.
  • Reconcile existing transactions through crossreferencing of incoming and outgoing data.
  • Maintain uptodate technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.
  • Analysis and monitoring of KPIs and metrics including sales reporting, payment, and supply chain targets.
  • Collate and analyse information used for Group reporting requirements.
  • Assist in analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Reconciliation of flow through internal business systems
  • Providing an essential role in the company's annual budgeting process
  • Productivity, utilisation, and capacity analysis
  • Creating formats to highlight attention areas and variances.
  • Monitor all adhoc requests and prepare appropriate reports for analysis.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending internal workshops.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned to fulfil the business needs.
Experience/Skills

  • Qualified or part qualified in recognised Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Proven FP&A experience
  • Excellent and engaging presentation skills
  • Selfstarter with excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience of working in a fastmoving group reporting function.
  • Continuous improvement mentality to constantly push the output forward.
  • Creative problem solver with a willingness to be held to account.
  • Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing technologydriven culture.
  • Must be proficient at analysing data, building, reporting, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends.
  • Strong IT knowledge with advanced Excel skills, Power Bi and SQL programming.
  • Netsuite and Lucanet experience desirable
