Customs Logistics Manager to join a leading organisation to be responsible for delivering robust Customs compliance expertise within the business.


Key Responsibilities of the Customs Logistics Manager:

  • Manage day-to-day import, export controls and supply chain security guidance.
  • Manage the Compliance and Logistics team and all activities.
  • Overall management of the bonded warehouse.
  • Provide leadership and training for the logistics department for the correct use of systems.
  • Work with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal departments to implement inhouse customs declarations.
  • Ensure data provided to customs is timely and accurate.
  • Determine the classification of products using the custom's tariff, Binding Tariff Indicators, explanatory notes and compliance publications.
  • Administer and monitor the Denied Party screening for EMEA.
  • Manage supply chain security obligations and update procedures as needed to ensure compliance.
  • Lead compliance reviews and assessments of import, export, and supply chain security activities within the region.
  • Work on continuous improvement programmes.
  • Overall management of transportation costs and service deliveries ensuring customer expectations are met.

Personal Specification of the Customs Logistics Manager:

  • Proven Customs Compliance & Logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of import/export declarations.
  • Knowledge of Bonded Warehouse processes.
  • Knowledge of AEO processes.
  • Leadership experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
