Description

As Energy Assistant, you will provide vital support to the delivery of the Council's Climate Change Emergency Action Plan and Net Zero Delivery Plan.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring timely payment of energy invoices to suppliers within financial procedure rules and to corporate timescales.


The postholder will monitor energy usage, liaise with the Energy Purchasing Organisation and energy suppliers, and Service Level Agreement organisations including schools, Volair and internal Asset Service, arrange procurement of Display Energy Certificates (DEC) and recharge internal and external services for Service Level Agreements.

When identifying a suitable individual for the position, we will look for an ability to manage multiple priorities, have attention to detail as well as good communication skills.

At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working.

For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible:
flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.
