An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND) for Cheshire & Merseyside ICB.

In this role you will be required to deputise for the Deputy Director of Nursing/SRO and be responsible for providing strategic leadership and working in partnership with all directorates, the ICB and wider ICS to ensure that statutory duties are met.


The post holder will work to ensure the ICB can respond to any local or national requirements and be pivotal in the development of external relations, seeking to influence the local, regional and national SEND developments.


The post holder will contribute to the strategic development of all SEND services, working across a broad range of organisational and agency boundaries, influencing and implementing SEND strategies within the ICS.

The post holder will support in creating a modern vision for SEND in health care which works with the wider partnership arrangements to strengthen health contributions to this vital agenda.
