This is an exciting opportunity to work for The International Convention Centre & The Vox Venue, as we breathe life back into our venues and the wider events industry, at an exciting point where we are exceptionally united and driven to achieve success in our venues

We are looking for friendly, diligent, hard-working individuals to operate the cloakrooms across our ICC and Vox venues.

Working on a casual basis, determined by event requirements, hours will be variable (early starts and late finishes), daytime and evening, across seven days a week.


As a
cloakroom operative, your primary task will be to check in / out customers items, alongside having a knowledge of which events are taking place across the venue, to interact with and direct our customers effectively.


The portfolio of events you'll have the opportunity work alongside will be wide ranging, from global congresses, televised events, corporate conferences, large scale exhibitions & hybrid events, to name but a few Events are our passion, regardless of shape or size and our venues are simply first class, in a city without limits.


What's needed from you:


  • Have strong literacy and number skills
  • Have a polite and helpful manner and the ability to interact professionally with others
  • Be honest, trustworthy and personable
  • Be well organised
  • Be reliable and responsible, with a "cando" attitude
  • Have previous experience of a fast moving, customer facing environment, with previous cloakroom experience (or similar) being advantageous
  • Good level of physical fitness, as some lifting of luggage and other items, will be required
  • Use of your initiative to recognise when additional tasks need completing
  • The ability to work well in a team and support other team members as and when required
  • The ability to deal with busy times calmly and professionally, in a fast pace, front line, customer facing environment
  • A basic awareness of health and safety and manual handling principles
