Job IntroductionLandmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Strensall Training Area in York.
As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
This role is based on a 12 month fixed term contract, with view to make permanent at an 8 month review.
Main Responsibilities
Preparing military ranges and training areas for use
Grounds maintenance
Maintenance works on the range and training area
Equipment testing
Driving and operating vehicles
Directing and advising wider training estate users including the general public
Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation
Knowledge of Health and Safety
Basic IT skills
Excellent communication skills
Have a full driver's license valid in the United Kingdom (essential)
Ability to pass security checks and resided in the UK for the last 5 years

Landmarc provides the support services that enable Armed Forces from around the world to prepare for frontline military operations across the UK Defence Training Estate (DTE).
This includes maintaining and delivering safe and sustainable infrastructure, managing and operating training areas and ranges and delivering multi-million pound projects to improve vital training assets.

Pension
