H9 Technical Recruitment are recruiting for an Instrumentation Engineer to join an exciting project based in Teesside.

The client is looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to support across the commissioning phase, start up, reliability andoperational phase of the initial project.

And the role will then be to support with technical issues, design input and operational input for a new project due to take place in the near future.

Role & Responsibilities

Control and instruments, maintenance, operation, training.
Role will be desk based and hands on plant based
Commissioning experience on a large plant.
Compex trained a preference, but not essential
Planning, root cause analysis, continuous improvements,
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Managing various types of projects, Installation, Modifications
Managing contractors and OEM suppliers, including work permits, RAMS, etc.

Technical lead

Troubleshooting technical problems focusing on root cause analysis.
Support and coach the Technicians & Operators in handling technical issues
Working on very complex and heavy industrial machinery.
Analysing data to compile engineering reports.
Improving OEE & Engineering downtime
Support for shutdowns, planned and unplanned.
On Call support.
You will be required to support other activities, not within the roles, as per business requirements

Skills & Qualifications

Formal Instrumentation Engineering Qualification(s)
HNC/HND or Degree qualified (Time served preferred)
Extensive Industrial Plant / Process Industry Maintenance
Projects experience
Experience with Full Industrial Process Control Instrumentation Systems (Pressure, Level, Flow and Temperature) experience
Experience working with DCS & PLC's
Heavy engineering / heavy manufacturing plant e.g. chemical plant, brewery, paper

- mill, manufacturing plant, power generating plant CHP, recycling plant, foundry, etc.
