OVERALL PROJECT SCOPE
The contractors will work off-site & regularly coordinate their efforts with the team using the Agile/Sprint procedures already established.
This requires both face-to-face meetings & remote tele
- or video conferences.

  • 5 year of recent experience with the FFT standards, protocols and FFT NATO doctrine.
  • 5 year of recent experience in documenting, implementing and testing TCP based communication protocols.
  • 2 year of experience in redacting NATO standardization documents.
  • Recent experience in working with a software development team.

TASKS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICE
The activity will start with the definition and redaction of the FFT Architecture final draft.

Under the direction/guidance of a technical lead, the software developer/technical writer will develop and maintain the NATO Friendly Force Tracking Architecture.

The software developer/ technical writer shall perform the following activities:
i) Plan, organize and chair the FFT Architecture requirement workshop
ii) Edit/ redact the FFT Architecture requirement workshop report detailing the workshop event and detailing the captured decision.
iii) In file with the NATO Architecture Framework (NAF) methodology, edit/ redact draft of the FFT Architecture.

SECURITY CLEARANCE
The duties of the contractor require a valid
NATO SECRET security clearance.

Specific Expertise Required:
The following expertise and knowledge is essential for this requirement:

  • The duties of the contractor require a valid
    NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Expert knowledge of NATO FFT Architecture.
  • Expert knowledge of NATO FFT specifications ADatP36, related profiles and emerging standards.
  • Expert knowledge of the FMN FFT information management processes;
  • Expert knowledge of the NATO C3 Policies, including the Data Management Policy
  • Knowledge of the latest NATO Architecture Framework (NAF).
  • Expert knowledge in the writing and redaction of NATO Information Exchange Specification (IES) and NATO communication standards.
  • Familiarity with NATO organisational and political structures (especially NHQC3S, ACT HQ. ACO HQ and NCI Agency) and relationships with NATO and Partner nations.
  • Ability to independently produce and edit technical documentation and scientific reports in English.
  • Able to speak and write fluent English since the work is conducted in English.
  • Excellent communications skills.
