Overall purpose of the job:


As a Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship you will be rotating through multiple departments within the technical side of the business, including solution design, project delivery and support.

Working with a wide range of departments and improving your knowledge and skillset over the length of the apprenticeship.- Provide solution design support to Solution Consultants on complex customer solutions

  • Provide technical delivery of solutions to clients
  • Provide technical support to clients with a highlevel focus on customer service

Key responsibilities for this job:

Solution Design

  • Work closely with Sales Engineers and Solution Owners to help respond to tender requests
  • Participate in conference calls with customers when required
  • Assist in architecting and proposing innovative validated designs which address identified business & technical objectives for a prospect or customer
  • Assist in designing & delivering detailed presentations that showcase your solution, pricing & benefits either in person or over a video conferencing tool
  • Assist in developing and delivering product demonstrations, either in person, recorded videos or over a video conferencing tool
  • Assist in developing and maintaining product and/or technical documentation

Project Delivery

  • Support in the implementation of customer WAN, LAN and Network Security solutions
  • Configuration of any networking CPEs
  • Regular customer communication and progress reporting during project implementation phase
  • Assisting with solution documentation and planning, including network diagrams, migration plans and any other required documents
  • Assisting with lab testing of networking CPEs and solution Proof of Concepts

Support

  • First line support handling customer enquiries and support issues using our ticketing system
  • Proactive network monitoring of alarms and traps for our customers via our monitoring tools
  • Troubleshooting circuit faults and working with carriers to achieve fault resolution
  • Driving fault resolution to ensure SLA's are not breached
  • Escalation of faults/outages in accordance with Exponentiale procedures
  • Creating incident reports/notifications for customer distribution

Apprenticeship

  • Build close working relationships with Product Management, Sales, Solution Consultant and the Engineering teams throughout all elements of your role
