Commercial/Supply Chain Assistant

Fixed-term Contract Position (12 months)

Excellent salary/package on offer

25 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays), Death in Service, Sick Pay

8am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs), 8am-2pm (Friday)

**Commercial/Supply Chain Assistant

  • Lead RFQ process from 'cradle to grave' including Bid/No-Bid, customer liaison, quote delivery and conversion. Ensuring "buy in" from all internal departments.
  • Work with Engineering & Supply Chain team's to develop detailed cost estimates (CCW) for the manufacture of new/existing products to support the RFQ process.
  • Ad-Hoc purchasing to support Supply Chain & Purchasing team
  • Managing process of onboarding new suppliers
  • Administration of Approved Supplier List (ASL)
  • Analysis of performance on manufacture of existing production to verify profitability, liaising directly with relevant internal personnel
  • Management of contracted passthrough clauses for Material and Sub-Contract costs, recalculating prices and liaising with customers to agree implementation.
  • Maintaining sales KPI's as well as reporting progress against targets set by business.
  • Liaising with the relevant internal departments when a quotation comes in to make sure that the bid/estimation process is running smoothly

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • Wellversed carrying out a commercial or supply chain focused role (understanding of the sales process)
  • Experienced working within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience dealing with customers or suppliers
  • Good attention to detail, with a proactive mindset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
