Robinson Grace HR Consultancy are looking for a part time HR Adviser to join our growing team. Applicants may be a generalist working at Adviser level, an HR Officer looking for experience or an absolute guru.

We're all about flexibility and fitting your working time into your life so whilst we would like some consistency with hours spread across the week, we're happy to discuss a working pattern and part time hours that would suit you.

Some work can be done remotely but we are looking for a presence in the office in Lydiard Millicent, Wiltshire on a regular basis.


The HR Adviser role is a key HR practitioner role, offering right first time HR advice and guidance to our clients.

With a varied workload, you will manage multiple projects and tasks while adapting to last minute priority changes.

This role is the flexible, responsive, operational support to the organisation as it provides a key point of contact for clients and HR Consultants.


  • Working alongside the wider team of HR Consultants and Administrators to deliver a seamless full HR service to clients.
  • Review and creation of contracts of employment and contract for services for clients.
  • Leading and managing Investigations, grievances, disciplinaries and capability cases.
  • Managing long term sickness and absence case work.
  • Review and creation of bespoke HR policies and employee handbooks which require considerable attention to detail and proof reading.
  • Responding to helpdesk queries across a range of clients in a timely manner (including holiday calculations).
  • Advising on Employee Engagement, Wellbeing and Mental Health initiatives and cases.
  • On site visits to clients including checks ins, meetings and casework.
  • Working with our software to upload files, keep accurate client records and update projects and workflows across the Robinson Grace team.
  • Ensure all client and shop HR policies and procedures are compliant with current employment legislation.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, well presented and fit for purpose.
  • Writing social media posts, articles and blogs.
  • Writing and delivering training materials and webinars.

Qualifications:
CIPD Qualified ideally to Level 5

Driving licence and access to transport

  • A very good standard of written English, grammar, and punctuation.
  • A clear understanding of up to date employment legislation and HR best practice in relation to key HR processes.
  • A knowledge of the pressure points for small business owners.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information in a simple way.
  • Mathematical ability to calculate holiday accrual and leave owed for starters and leavers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and working within GDPR guidelines.
  • Ability to remain calm, use initiative and be focussed under pressure and manage a variety of situations.
  • Experience of liaising with and influencing a wide range of internal and external contacts.
  • Able to work constructively and positively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, organise and prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to interpret, organise and prioritise large amounts of information.
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, new ideas and take on new tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proof reading skills to ensure right first time communication with clients.
  • Confident in delivering training, presentations, webinars both face to face and online.

Experience

  • Employee relations experience, including investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, capability cases, redundancies.
  • Proficient in proactively managing client case work and queries in a timely manner to meet expectations.
  • Experience of guiding HR project work such long term sickness, employment handbooks, HR Audit solutions.
  • Experience of HR Software would be advantageous.
  • Experience of job evaluation and, or competency based pay frameworks is desirable.
  • The ability to work with ambiguity and conflicting and shifting priorities that come from a reactive workload.
