Description
2nd Line Engineers:
Salary between £30 and £35k - (£35k If they have got 1 or 2 of the desirables)
Day to day they will:
support the 1st Line service desk engineers (when they escalate or with tech questions/support/upskilling)
Carry out investigations, and resolve technical issues, liaising with 3rd Line Engineers
Keep in contact with the clients, manage expectations
It's a KPI-driven environment so they need to used to working under a bit of pressure.
Essential Criteria.
They will need to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to the below tech:
Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint?Online
Windows 8.1 and later
Windows Server 2012 R2 and later
Microsoft Exchange 2013 and later
Networking knowledge covering LAN/WAN technology fundamentals
Citrix XenDesktop 7.15 and later (administration, user support) - This is absolutely essential
Experience in the below is nice to have - make them a "rockstar" and be at the top of the pay bracket
Microsoft Server/Client OS and/or Office 365 Certifications are advantageous but technical ability and aptitude for problem-solving is of higher value
Active Directory including knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
