As a Creative Copywriter and Editor at the UK's leading health and safety experts, you'll join our Creatives Services team, where you'll transform briefs taken from marketers in to engaging, exciting and compelling content and communications, turning the ordinary in to extraordinary


This role is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote working, and office-based days (2 or 3 days a week) from our head office in Hull.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking briefs from Campaign Managers, Branding team and Internal Communication team
  • Working with the rest of our Creative Services Team to produce engaging, exciting and compelling copy content and visual communications
  • Developing our expert tone of voice for above and below the line comms across a number of touchpoints including advertising, sales and promotion, corporate communications and social media, utilising speech writing, video scripts, internal communications and PR
  • Understanding and implementing principles of corporate communications and persuasive sales and marketing communications above and below the line
  • Working with key stakeholders to research and verify all relevant information relating to Arco's area of business operations as well as the wider safety industry, including competitors
  • Keeping up to date with new legislation and specifications and compliance
  • Proof checking, editing and steering all written communications throughout the Arco business
  • Proof checking and editing all creative and digital content

The ideal Creative Copywriter will be/have:

  • An experienced Creative Copywriter, skilled in marketing communications
  • Able to demonstrate the capability to create above and below the line copy across different mediums including compelling campaign writing, PR, editorial, web and social media content
  • Expert in distilling complex technical messages into compelling copy understood by target audiences
  • Strong personal project management and time management skills
  • Experience of working in or with a fastpaced creative and/ or marketing environment
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders at all levels, drawing out key insights and relevant information
  • Experience of developing a company tone of voice across different touch points and key audiences
  • Able to demonstrate the capability of conducting industry research and the distilling of relevant information
  • Experience of copy editing and proof checking written copy and visual communications
  • A good working knowledge of searchoptimised copy creation
