Role Overview:
As a Senior Progress and Support Tutor, you will be an essential part of our student support team.

You will work closely with students to monitor their academic progress, provide guidance and pastoral support, and help them overcome any challenges they may face.

You will be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students have equal access to educational opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide highquality pastoral support to students, addressing their academic and personal concerns effectively.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and parents/guardians to ensure student progress is regularly communicated and supported.
  • Develop and deliver tailored support programs to meet individual student needs, promoting independent learning and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the college's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of students at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and any relevant incidents or concerns.
  • Stay uptodate with educational developments and best practices in student support to enhance the quality of service provided.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a student support role, preferably in a further education or college environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed and a commitment to promoting equality and diversity in education.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with student progress tracking systems and a high level of IT proficiency.

  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
