Description

Purpose of the Role


To ensure that the Centre is maintained in a clean manner, both within the boundary of the property and all service areas.

To work to predetermined task lists for all areas.


Key Responsibilities
Transporting Euro Bins from designated areas to the compactors, emptying and returning bins to the correct areas

Cleaning of outside areas of the property including car parks. This to include emptying bins and litter picking, and also the use of the sweeping machine. Washing the M.S.C.P. stairwells.

Emptying all cardboard only bins, and baling cardboard.

Washing of service areas

Cleaning and washing of rest room and all stairs, corridors, and ramps, plus riverside walkways.

Washing all windows and doors. Cleaning pillars and signs.

Prevention of and removal of weeds from slabbed areas.

All landlord areas to be gritted when required.

Sweep the Mall and remove any chewing gum.

Remove any black marks from the Mall floor. Attend food or liquid spillages as soon as possible.

Empty Mall bins and wipe surfaces with damp cloth. Remove bins at end of trading.

Hoover entrance mats and carpets.

Wash and rinse all internal tiled areas of Mall.

Wash stairs and clean glass at escalators.

Wash and polish passenger lift.

Return bins to Mall floor.

Wash and disinfect Mall/Service area bins on a weekly basis.

Mall trolleys should be washed down on a regular basis.

Mall floor to be washed every 24 hours using machines. Deep clean to be carried out when instructed to do so.

Graffiti to be removed or location to be passed on to supervisor.

Toilets to be cleaned on a daily basis.

Toilets to be monitored by mall cleaners on a regular basis during trading hours.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience in the provision of cleaning services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.

Able to demonstrate a good level of customer service.

Body fluids trained.

Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.

Honest and reliable work ethic.

Well presented.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work in both/internal and external environments.

Willingness to partake in further on-site training.

Working Hours - Various

Salary - £10,000 - £13,000
