At TLG, we've had huge uptake in student numbers and this demand has led us to opening a new campus in Ealing (London), which is in addition to our campus at Tower Hill, London.

As such, we're looking for an Academic Mentor to coach students on a wide range of academic and pastoral topics, particularly in Business Management and English as an Academic Language (EAP).

The post holder will report into the Programme Lead to support successful assignment submissions of the students.


Academic Mentors contribute and develop high quality academic mentoring for a cohort of students, supporting, developing and implementing strategies which contribute towards effective learning, behaviour and achievement throughout the students' time at the school, which then enhances their attendance, engagement and retention.

The Academic Mentors will proactively seek to improve attention, attendance, progression of students at TLG by providing a healthy, safe, happy and challenging environment in which students feel supported and can work hard, free of disruption, develop mutual respect, grow in confidence and achieve their potential.


The post holder will participate in team meetings and any training required and work with a hands-on approach to ensure, together with the other Team Members, the administration of TLG HE is smooth and fully compliant.

The ability to inspire and motivate students is a must.

  • Friday; 9am 6pm)
    Requirements:

Role Requirements:


  • Experience of academic and administrative management is essential.
  • A degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Organisation and time management
  • Excellent communicator verbally and in writing
  • Cooperative and collaborative

Desirable
***- Teaching qualification (PG Cert of equivalent).

  • HEA fellowship and/or PGCAP
  • CELTA or equivalent
  • DELTA or equivalent
