Background and purpose of the role:
We are seeking a Health and Safety Administrator to provide effective support to our site delivery team.
The new role which is site-based is deemed an important position of ensuring proactive and high standards of HSE administration.
The H&S Administrator will be competent and a team player, a good communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels.
In so doing, the post-holder will be instrumental in achieving the Company's mission statement through the Company's values which are available on our website:Key activities and responsibilities of the role;
- Proactively maintain health, safety and environmental documentation
- Work in close collaboration with the Health & Safety Advisor and the site delivery team.
- Monitor both manual and electronic filing systems.
- Scan & file all Health & Safety documentation generated daily at the site.
- Coordinate Site Inductions
- Distribute Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Toolbox talks and other key HSE documentation on behalf of the management team to the supervisory teams.
- Provide admin support to the supervisory team.
- Monitor and arrange Safety Critical Medicals for Operators
- Monitor and coordinate mandatory training to ensure key qualifications are maintained by our site personnel
- CSCS/CPCS/SMSTS/SSSTS/First Aid
- Log and process Safety Observation Cards
- Circulate and file H&S and Environment inspections, reports, and incidents.
- Produce weekly and monthly H&S statistical reports.
- Maintain the Health, Safety & Environmental File on SharePoint drive.
- Record and circulate minutes for health & safety and environmental meetings.
- Support site management with ad hoc administration.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Essential:
- To be successful in this role, you will have the experience and ability to provide high standards of general site administration whilst on occasion working autonomously.
- Hold a relevant administrator qualification.
- Must be meticulous in administration duties.
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to competently and accurately take meeting minutes
- Produce health, safety and environmental memos and alerts.
- Compile and Produce health, safety and environmental statistical data.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work under constraints
Key competencies:
- Preferably 1year recent and relevant experience in a sitebased health & safety role upon building or civil engineering projects
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Organised and have good general communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
- Computer literate with Microsoft suites such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Pay:
£22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
