About Our Client:


Our client is a professional services business in Loughborough that provides clients with audit, tax, VAT, bookkeeping and payroll services.


You will be reporting into one of the Partners, and will be solely responsible for producing the payroll from cradle to grave for c.

90 clients. The payrolls vary in size - there are a number of Director only payrolls, some are for c. 5 employees and the largest is for c. 60 employees.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:


  • Inputting payroll information onto Sage Payroll
  • Processing weekly, monthly, four weekly and fortnightly payrolls
  • Dealing with SMP and SSP
  • Auto enrolment pension assessments
  • Producing payslips and wage reports
  • Dealing with RTI submissions
  • Updating tax codes
  • Inputting leavers and new starters
  • Pension uploads onto NEST, NOW, Aviva etc...
  • Payroll year end and producing P60s
  • Handling pay queries
  • Setting up PAYE schemes online with HMRC and setting up new payrolls on Sage Payroll

The Successful Applicant:


To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have solid experience of working in payroll and will be confident in a standalone payroll position
  • Have worked in outsourced payroll

This is a permanent opportunity that is offering:

  • A salary between £25,000 and £35,000 (FTE, which is dependent upon experience)
  • Full time or part time hours (between 25 and 35 hours)
  • Home working (you could work c. 50% from home if desired)
